Rooting for the Ant-Hero

Rooting for the Ant-Hero

We hope we aren't too late for this...

The trailer for the anticipated superhero prequel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been released by Marvel recently. This trailer, which is one minute long—has shown the film's imagery which was just right off the bat bananas, it was trippy. Well, aside from the visuals, it also tells the emotional story of our ant-hero (hahaha), Scott Lang's bond with his daughter Cassie. This movie, which also counts as the 31st overall in the MCU, is the third one in the Ant-Man series.

Anyways, from what we have seen, it seems like the movie will explore a potentially deadly devil's bargain struck by Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, and Scott, which might (possibly) allow Scott to reclaim the five years he missed with, Cassie, during "the Snap," you know when half the universe went literally dusty.

In addition to being much "darker" than the last one, the trailer hinted at a gloomier plot for Ant-Man movies overall. It further dropped hints at the beginning of something like a "new dynasty" which may be attributed to MCU’s Phase Six movie Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will clear the way for MCU's Phase 5, which comprises Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, Thunderbolts, The Marvels, Captain America: New World Order, and the recently postponed Blade. The MCU, unquestionably, being the largest film franchise ever, is just driving off out a bumpy road following the recent flack from "underwhelming" (don’t quote us on this) pandemic releases such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, the inconspicuous Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and even Black Panther: Wakanda Forever including a bunch of series, which are stirring discussions about oversaturation. Well, we liked some of these films, at least from a personal perspective. However, one thing's for sure, whether you like it or not, someone will like it… or not LOL. Let's just agree to disagree.

Going back, we’re surely excited for this one, we’re thrilled to see what this one has to offer—you know, plot-wise. Also, just look at the visuals… Come on!

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released in theaters on February 17.
